Press Release Summary: World-traveling wizard, David Avadon unveils A Theatre of Marvels at 10th Avenue Theater
Press Release Body: San Diego, CA, August 1, 2008 - San Diegans are preparing to be baffled and enchanted as the award-winning theatrical production AbracaDaring! A Theatre of Marvels debuts at the 10th Avenue Theater in September. The evening of elegant deception is performed by keen mystifier David Avadon whose artful sorcery has taken him from London to Tokyo, from Singapore to Spain. His wonders have astonished an astonishing array of people including sultans and singers - the Sultan of Oman, Michael Bolton, and authors and actors - Ray Bradbury, Will Smith.
AbracaDaring! premiered at the London Theatre Festival. It won the prestigious Impresario Award, became the best attended event and garnered this review in the London Free Press: Within five minutes the audience was enchanted. The sleight of hand was beyond clever. But most exquisite was the story telling which covers two centuries and three continents of wizardry, sideshow and shystering. Wonderful.
Audiences are in for a night of startling transformations as Avadon becomes in turn charming charlatan, carnival mind reader, light-fingered thief, mesmerizing story teller, irreverent comic and skillful exponent of the Tamasudare, a rarely-seen Japanese performance art.
Says Avadon, "The 10th Avenue Theater is the perfect venue for this intimate magical experience."
And Avadon advises San Diegans to be on the lookout for his "skeleton" crew. These out-of-the-closet skeletons - Abracadavers - will appear throughout the city with signs proclaiming the AbracaDaring! slogan!: You can buy the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge!
